Kelford IX Cams
What were the supporting mods on the 370 hp?I am coming to have some work done by you guys in a few months when i get back.At TTP that is..Just wondering what other mods the car had..Thanks..Justin
Going to throw a curve ball and ask about where the Cossie 272's rank in with these 3 bad boys...
Tom, I too have done some research and your findings are identical with what I am finding as well. Depending on what is said about my question above, I may be switching over to the FP4R. I am going green on the SE with an AEM, so I have been watching you and your son like hawks lately...

+1 on the Cossie 272's.
I'm on these cams as well with stock springs. I find that my boost 'bleeds down' after 7300rpm about 5psi on every log. I'm wondering if valve float is the issue here. According to all of you cam experts, can springs be the cause of this.
If that's the case, I may just swap the cams for better units while I'm at it.
Anyone prefer these Kelfords or BR272's over a pair of Cossie 272's on a stock motor, AEM EMS, 35r car?

This is weird.
I asked: Question: Do the camshafts require a valve train upgrade?
They replied: Jonathan. If you are using more than the stock RPM and more than 21lb boost, werecommend a valve spring upgrade. Either Supertech dual springs or Kiggleybeehive or Ferrea beehive springs are the best option. ThanksKevin
What gets me is the more than 21psi, most everybody not stock probably runs over 21psi.

Have you got a dyno graph that can show how much of a loss you had in the bottom end at all? Thanks mate.
Cheers Steve
If I'm not mistaken, that test was done exclusively with an Evo 8, therefor the results do not apply to us except to say that kelford makes good cams in general . As far as their mivec cams, I haven't seen a ton of data, but it seems promising.
