Oil pressure/EGT guage install HELP!!

I am installing a prosport oil pressure guage and egt guage. I have a couple questions:

1) The oil sending unit is 1/8"-27 NPT threads. What size are the threads on the plugged holes on the oil filter housing? I know there is an upper and lower and the lower required a 90 degree fitting as well, but I need to know what size and thread pitch they are! Thanks!

2) Where is everyone installing the EGT probe? I was always told #1 cylinder, but others have told me toward the center of the collector. Any help with this???

And yes, I have been searching!

hey bro, i dont know about the EGT but the oil pressure prosport gauge i just did mine yesterday, the outer thread pitch is 3/8 bspt...i ordered my adapter from here http://www.42draftdesigns.com/product/vdo/42921.htm ...they also have one that comes with the 45 degree angle but i didn't use that, and mine works fine, with no issues...good luck...make sure to use tefflon tape on the connectors, and use a 8mm allen ratchet to take off the allen key in the housing of the oil filter....took all of 5 min.

OK, well the sender is 1/8-27 NPT. The adapter they are using is a 1/8 NPT to 3/8 BSPT. The difference between NPT and BSPT is the NPT threads are tapered and BSPT are not. I would think an NPT adapter would be a better suggestion......but dont know for sure. I have access to the NPT adapters.....just wanna make sure they are going to work before I do anything.

you can always retap the threads to fit whatever adaptor you have...
