bent LICP outlet....worth fixing????

Welp....disappointed to say the least....was told it was in perfect condition....came with the coupler on the j-pipe side.....after cleaning the pipe I removed the coupler and the pipe has been crushed into more of an oval....its a steel pipe.....do you think it is worth trying to use a hammer and get it back to a circle shape??? Or should I just wait for a refund from the seller??? Man this was supposed to be a reputable vendor too....

take it to a muffler shop....they have a tool to round the opening for you....you should be fine unless they tell you otherwise....you have a pic to be able to better help you? Is it REALLY BAD?

"I have a speed-source lower pipe for sale. It performs great and is in perfect condition. Its for an evo 8 or 9, and bolts to the stock evo outlet pipe. I replaced the clamp they gave me with a T bolt. I just bought this a month ago and theres nothing wrong with it, so I'd like to get 150$ shipped. Paypal is accepted, thanks and let me know"

T-bolts are made to clamp a circle....when its an oval like this I am thinking it won't seal properly and will either leak or blow off...neither of which I want to go through......

DUDE, i didnt even take the connector off when i took the pipe off my car, it held 30 psi on my car that way. It is fine, I promise. It must been a little off when they sent it to me, but it seals fine. you ever see the K&N filters that have oval flanges? They seal fine, I mean granted they arent under boost but its fine I promise. Just put it on your car, tighten the clamp and enjoy it!!!

If that pipe leaks when tightened properly, I will send you a brand new pipe

I work for Speed Source

That pipe looks like it was dropped or maybe rough handled in shipping... But there is no way for me to tell that When we bead the ends of each pipe - they are checked to ensure that they are round, then each pipe is individually bubble wrapped, and boxed up to ship.

If you purchased a Speed Source pipe through us - and you had any problems with it - we will gladly stand by our items If you want to send it back to us - we can reshape the end to be round - no problem.
