I am running full E-85 with all stock lines. I have a 35R w/ 1000cc's. I also maked out my fuel running 28 lbs w/ a single Walboro pump. I made 453 whp on a low reading dyno. If I had more fuel, it would have made 500 easy.

Hmm, what do you reckon you could swing with two walboros? If I could squeeze 550 ish out of 1000cc's and two walboros I would be a happy camper.

Hey Smoke ive got 300gallons of E98
All you have to do is drive down to Oregon. Shoot then you can adjust me for free also I bet on a green and a stroker motor you could get close to 600whp on E98

 

Over 500 wheel. 550 is doable for sure on a regular dyno. You would have a VERY strong car.

 

People make mid 6's with 35R's on full tilt setups, without an AEM/Intake Manifold I still think 550 is doable.

I put down about 440 on a low reading Mustang (Stock 03s put down about 200 whp). I'm maxing out my injectors, but I think with a few tricks and a bit more boost, I can get 500 whp. My mileage is about 18 mpg if I'm not always in boost.

 

the only concern i have is running a stock ECU and 1000 cc injectors. can u get them to idle?

 

Scorke, where do u plan on getting E85 as i live in NJ also and i have searched and the only place to get it is vine st in philly and the place in statten island is goverment use only. Im interested in running it also.

Interested in running it also. Do u need to change to bigger injectors to be able to run it? on the stock turbo?

 

I'm very interested in this as well. Columbia has the largest concentration of E85 stations in SC. I'd love to have 3 maps as well, 93, E85, C-16.

 

I goto school in SC and there is a pump about 10 minutes away from my apartment, I plan on keeping a biggish tank at home in NJ and a little container at my apartment for when i want to run some boost.

You don't nec. need bigger injectors, but if your making any decent power over a stock car then you will. E85 requires about 30 percent more fuel then gas, so everything except for a very stock setup will require larger injectors.

Deadbeat tons of people have run/do run 1000cc's with a stock ecu, it can and has been done, do a search for malibujack, his car idles like a kitten.

Spinsall - A stock turbo car with all the basic-bolt-ons running high boost will need injectors to get the most from e85.

 

You will need larger injectors for any setup. Even a completely stock setup will max out the stock injectors before reaching the power capabilities of E85. In fact, you may not be able to match the power output of 93 octane on E85 due to maxing out the injectors.

i have seen gusy runing E85 on stock setups (apart fro ma remap to get the extra fuel in there)! not on an Evo (an old Proker 944 turbo) but it does work!

but if you want any real power then you are going to have to concentrate on your fuel system. think you need about 60% more fuel, so itws probalby wise to go for a second pump, or even a twin external system!

line material should be ok. i think you only start to see problems when you get air and alky mixing. as long as your lines are air tight, and they should be, you will be ok.

injectors, better to size well up! you should beable to run 1000cc'ers and still get a good idle. some like to go 1600cc but id perofer to go dual 1000cc injectors per cylinder. its really cool and you can do some really funky stuff with the second set of injectors! Norris design used to run twin injectors per cylinder. the first set is what you run most of the time, but when needed you bring the second set into play! its have been tested and 9 out of 10 times you see more power with twin injectors (this is on NA but should work for turbos). this is because the fuel has longer to mix with the air. this gives better fuel air mix and thus more power!

its pretty cool stuff to! you should beable to make more power on any setup with E85 simple becasue it carries a little bit of O2 with it.
