As bad as you feel it is, I think maybe you have something going on there. I can't remember but what is the rpm at 45 in 4th?

I don't know, how is $45 shipped.
I am still waiting on the RMR to get here but it should be here within the next week, if you can wait. I have Fedex at work so I will ship it like 2nd day once I get the other one.

$45 sounds good, how old was it anyway? What comes with it too?

I've had it about a month but I don't drive much. 1500 miles and I've had the car for about 2 months. Only thing it you get when you buy it is the filter. Bolts right up to the MAF.

Your right there at the start of the optimum boost level, I don't get how it doesn't get up and go. I was on the highway in 5th at like sixty and the thing jumps to 70 like it's nothing. I know my rpm was lower than that. Do you have a boost gauge on your car?

"Maybe you DV is leaking boost and delaying the onset of real boost pressure"

Seroiusly, Do you have any other mods on your car besides the filter?

Doesn't matter. IF you match speeds in the same gear and go from there you should get some indication. Problem is the inconsistency in the Evo itself for performance from one car to another.

People need to keep in mind that tuners are not looking at one part they are looking at combinations.

Take the air filter example. If you talk with Buchur they will probably tell that the filter does not do much on it's own but when you combine it with the 3" turbo back, boost controller, and S-AFC it works within the system.

yes...if you free up one side of the engine (ie. intake) then you have to free up the other side (exhaust) also to get the full effect. or else gains will be either non-existant or very minimal. in fact...you might actually loose power if you just have an intake without an exhaust...i remember hearing that happen to some people.
