can't boost over 16psi, WHAT?

So, about two weeks ago, I noticed my car have lost a bit of power. First I was worried but because it wasn't really a big lost, I thought it was just weather (Seattle has been it the 80s)... A few days later, Blam... car was driving like a POS. I couldn't boost over 16 PSI (I do about 25-28 normally) so I was like I broke something. At first I thought it was my piping got loose so I checked everything, upper lower front back nothing... ??? So, I thought my boost control is dirty. Cleaned it out and check connection put it back in... nope still doing the same thing. At this time I said to myself I might have broke my turbo but I went on and checked everything else because the turbo is just too expensive to brake... so I checked all the plugs and wire, the fuel system, even to my ARC air box out and cleaned that. still nothing. So I put everything back together and thought I might have blow some kind of gasket, like the exhaust or head something is leaking right? No love. everything looks good. and so for one week I was driving my car like that 14 psi, got picked on by cars that I normally won't ever consider playing with. So, the following weekend, I look deeper took everything back apart and I realized I have missed looking at the coupler on the upper pipe. It has a cut on the bottom of it from rubbing against a bracket and the engine heat has dried out most of that... I guess I am writing this so if you run into the same problem, you might want to check the couple... hope this help!

Watch someone is going to come out and say something like I would have checked it first thing... Whatever.

That great that you found your issue but why is this in the advanced engine/turbo section?

You don't put stuff in Advanced so that Advanced people will answer. It only goes in Advanced if it's an Advanced topic. This is newbie stuff.
