Exclamation Stock Clutch

The stock clutch in my evo is chattering and then when I engage the clutch it stops. My question is the chattering in the stock clutch normal?

It must be freezing, BUUUUUURRRRRRRRRR.

JK , possibly a throw out bearing. How many miles?

Mitsu will warrant the TOB, and iff it damaged the clutch or spline push for a clutch replacement, compliments MMCNA

Are you modded?

Kept your oe parts?

I'd call mits and let them know. If you don't believe youve abused the car and/or drivetrain, it might be as simple as a TOB.

Do a search for TOB (throw out bearing) and see if some others were experiencing the same symptoms.

It chatters when the clutch is partially engaged? That would be the flywheel and or pressure plate warped or glazed. That usually happens from riding the clutch a lot.

I doubt its the ring gear or the starter would have trouble taking a bite. The clutch engages on a spline in the center of the flywheel. It could be heat glazing on the flywheel but 9900 mi?? I'm sticking with TOB.

It all depends on the driver, if you dump the clutch to practice your 60' times everytime your at a light, than yeah it most likely is operator error. But 9900 mi, I have 27k on the stocker, (jynxed myself) and am 100 whp over stock for 22k of it. With some drags under its belt my oe unit is still strong.

I think the search for related symptoms will turn up his problem.
