blueevo, that's a good one! haha boost leak..........haha

I have a set of Tomei 280's here, since someone brought them up. New in the box, would make a killer deal on them.

Tomei makes two grinds. Of the two, I wouldn't recommend the larger one execpt for LARGE turbo apps with ported heads and suitable supporting hardware.

On paper, the GSC S1 should generate a bit more midrange punch, and AFAIK, the S1 ramps are mildly different.

yes, I picked up on that. But someone else joined in, and my response was directed there, not at you. It's all good.

i have the GSC 272 (pre-S1) if i recall correctly they are pretty much the same grind as hks 272. i have had a great experience with them. they were quite a bit cheaper than the hks at the time as well...

to answer the OP's question: HKS 272's for the money.

if top end power is what your interested in & dont mind a lopey idle & a slight loss in low rev transient response, WITHOUT A DOUBT HKS 280's for the money.

what album had the song "Dont believe the hype"?

Based on my aem logged accelration data/calculated whp, Ted B's is calculated guess is bang-on.

The gsc s1 cams feel very nice for street driving. night & day more responsive with regards to tip-in while city driving. However, based on my preliminary testing, my car does not accelerate any quicker than hks 272's.

To prove this out, i am re-installing my gsc s1 cams to confirm this....yeah, some people are over the top about things.

I really liked the drivability of the gsc s1's. Best power & all around cam settings on my car was -2/-1.

oh, all my testing is performed on california's finest 91 octane (union 76).
