Boost needle under idle HELP

Hey guys I was just wondering if the boost needle under idle without applying any throttle should shake violently? What signs do this indicate if any? I was also having a problem with the shaking going WOT but I heard this is normal because of the higher load is this true?

Mine does this also, but only at idle. It has a small rapid shake, but is smooth during boost. Ill be checking for a boost leak tommorow to see if that is the cause. Anybody figure out what causes the shaking yet?

I have two boost gauges in my Evo and they both hold a steady reading when idle. Is there a loose connection for the vacuum source on the gauge?

It means its a fast reacting gauge that is adjusting to the pulses in the intake manifold as the valves open and close. Be glad you have a high quality gauge
