400-450 to wheels theirs a catch tho

its on CALI 91 makes me wanna cry. My question is is it possible to have a daily driver without alchy/meth seems WAY to risky and unreasonable to use for a daily driver. I have seen many posts about 400-450 but didnt see any mention on 91 only 93.

This is on my wish list as of now tell me what I need to add or change all input is welcome and i do have my flamesuit on. My car is a evo IX.
AEM EMS
VSR (Velocity Stack Runner) Intake Manifold
BBK 75mm Throttle Body (Small Bolt Pattern)
Cossi cams
halliman MBC or some EBC not sure yet (could you use some input here getting mixed reviews)
Walbro 255 lph HP Fuel Pump
780CC Fuel Injectors
AMS Evo VII/VIII/IX Race Intercooler & Piping Kit
37R Turbo Kit
and clutch of some sort could use input here also
TBE Greddy TI looks good to me but about these *$#@in cali laws most likely will be to loud

I am a newb when it comes to car modding but wanna start it up as a hobby and dont even know if 400-450 as a Daily driver is even practical. Im prolly missing some stuff so please add if i am

No i wont race it may take it to the track every now and again, mostly want it for peace of mind knowing if a car pulls up next to me odds are ill smoke em
PS wasnt sure if to place this in newb forms or here so if its in wrong area sorry

Simply... No.

It will not be a safe tune if you make that on 91 on any turbo , it will be a centimeter from blowing up. One bad tank of gas and there you will go a blowin up.

Just a tip if you are building a street car on a 2.0 especially a stock botom , top end 2.0 its not going to be very fun... The lag will be pretty stupid. Not to mention when it does spool you wont be able to rev it to the rpm range that turbo requiers to maximize the power band that turbo provides. Also on pump gas 91 the boost is going to be very low for that turbo and way out of it eficiency range. < Very crappy street setup! Maybe on a 2.3 or 2.4 stroker it is ok on the street.

Try a 3076r , good for over 500whp on race gas and it spools very fast... And on 91 pump gas its very bad ***! Ive seen anywhere from 380 to 410 + from that turbo on 91 dependin on the block and head. Also that turbo will breath all the way to 8500 rpm without chocking , very usable and strong power band!

Dont forget about fuel. You are going to requier on bad *** fuel system for something like a 37r.

That is my tip to you.

Hopefully CA will start getting some 112 octane race gas in the form of E85, although the feds and Califoria secret police will probably crush everyone's cars for doing the conversion...for suspected stolen fuel systems...

That is my tip to you.

I'm not to sure about getting OVER 500whp with a 3076r. You can get close with meth or race gas. Even at that it is pushing the 3076r out of it's efficiency range. The 37r is to big for your application (if you are going to stick with 450whp). You could do a 35r and have moderate spool with nice top end. My spool is at about 3200-3500rpms.

Any particular reason with going with an AEM box? Since your in Cali its tough to get stickers for the car with out the OBDII-- you can get the power your looking for with a nice reflash and get to keep your start up (not have to crank 4+ times). Just some food for thought.

Ah the misinformation. Are you running .01 psi of boost? What do you mean your SPOOL is at 3200-3500 rpms. It begins to spool up? No way in hell your at full boost on a 3076R anywhere near there. Hell 3200 rpm is good for a stock turbo on 21 psi.

Spool starts at 3200-3500rpms as stated, full boost @ 30psi is about 4500rpms. Calm down there, I apologize if I didn't explain it in enough detail

Brian Crower makes a 2.4 stroker kit.

You need to call Tuning Technologies and talk to them. The 2.4 dyno chart you just saw belongs to them.

400 maybe obtainable on a dynojet on 91 with the apropriate mods.

mfq made +380 whp pin 100deg f weather the otherday while on the oem ecu!

i think with the aem, you can get pretty close.

400 whp on 91 is my goal, hopefully achieved in ~2 months.

I made 400 whp on pure 91 with a very safe tune (10.8 AFR) in 90+ degree heat at 22 psi with a GT35R.

A 37R can definitely make over 400 on 91. During my last tune at Tuning Tech a guy made well over 400 on 91 with that turbo

Many people have made over 400 on just 91. I think they made the equivalent of well over 500 WHP Dynojet (conversion estimate from MD) on 93 at Buschur.

Meth/alky is not "way too risky and unreasonable for a daily driver." What gave you that notion?
