Witch way should I go?
Witch way should I go?
Ok I have two choices right now and i need some advice from people who been upgrading evos and have more experience,
These I already have on the car, 3' downpipe, test pipe, 3" cat back exhaust.
1. Get 60-1 trim turbo from a friend new for only $350 upgrade fuel pump and injectors. ( I have the manifold for t3/t4 and downpipe, 02 already)
or
2. Add injen licp/uicp with intake, tune, fuel pump, BC cams.
My goal is to have as much power as I can on pump gas.

probably wouldn't strap on a 60-1 turbo when you still have stock cams and fuel pump. The VIII's seem to respond well to a nice set of cams. IMHO, skip the Injen LICP/UICP (little gains); start with a Walbro fp, a Forge mbc, a good set of cams (HKS, GSC S1's, etc) and get a good tune - any left over cash, spend on a proven open air filter for a little more top-end whp...
I seriously think the LICP/UICP upgrade is a waste of $$$ for the majority of Evo's out there. I have yet to see a direct, same-day before/after-mod dynograph showing any significant gains in power or spool with the IC piping...
