Safe boost with a EBC w/o tune?
Ive searched, found answers, but want confirmation.
I have '03 with cone filter, turbo back catless exhaust and will be buying a AVC-R here pretty soon. I have been flashed, with a very basic flash. Its a little leaner, and mainly because I wanted better MPG, and a 2-step.
Im on 93 octane. I will be using evoscan while raising the boost on the current tune, until I can get a fuel pump and a real tune. On stock tune with 93oct and on the current flash tune thats a tad leaner, we got 0 counts of knock.
21 psi should be safe, correct? 22 pushing the envelope? Thanks!

if you are flashed 21-22 psi good when running 93 oct, maybe higher if your not getting timing pulled and no knocks. personally i wouldnt run more that stock boost levels untill you get a fuel pump.
Yep 21-22 on the stock turbo, I can always get away with more ign timing at that boost level than if I raise becuase things tend to get unstable and you can't keep the tune safe. With me saying that every car seems to be just a bit different too believe it or not.
