First off I am not a fan of cobb exhaust due to the fact that they have a lot of neckdowns and too many bends. A good free flowing turboback with a testpipe is the way to go. Get a halman, Buschur or apexi open element, Walbro 255 and you will definitely need a new diverter valve considering you have an 03 and the plastic one will leak. Upgrade to a IX diverter and you will be alright. Only gonna need cam gears with better cams. I just did a manifold and 02 housing a picked up some nice power. Then I recommend an ebay FMIC and meth and you will have a huge smile on your face. I know I do.

I hope you're running 24 psi on something higher than pump gas.

(try to get a O2 housing as well ,, ebay O2 housing works fine n its cheap ) i d say go wit a BR TBE but there r so many TBE s out there so its really up to u..also get a good BOV or a evo IX bov & u really need a wb 255 fuel pump.. 1/4 times really depends on ur driving..

cam gear don't do anything dont waste your money.

19 psi? r u kidding me? stock runs higher than that only 03 evo runs around 19 psi. yeah make it 25 psi w/ a fuel pump. don't tune it 21 psi and then 25 i did that and I regret it, waste of money.
19 psi is nothing for evo.

I got a real good deal on my Wally kit and knew I was going with a bigger turbo in the future so I just put it in once I got it. You should be fine @23psi with stock pump.

Stage 1
Hallman Pro RX MBC $90 www.ebay.com
Intake?
BOV?
Walbro Fuel Pump w/kit $100 http://www.lancershop.com

Stage 2
Weapon R Intake Manifold $600 www.lancershop.com
P&P 02 housing $225 www.lancershop.com
Buschur Racing 3” TBE bullet exhaust $825 www.buschurracing.com

Stage 3
GSC S1 268 Cams $530 http://www.lancershop.com
APR Head studs $85 www.evostore.com

What Intake would you guys suggest, wether its just a filter, or an intake? How much and best place to get it? Also what BOV? Where and price? I want a good one, but dont want to pay a fortune for something if it doesnt make a difference, and also do I need a VTA or Re-circulationg BOV?

And does this look like a good set of mods?

What is a 10.5 hotside? Im new to the whole turbo stuff, I came from a Celica GTS so some of the turbo lingo, im still learning!

Thanks for all your help!

Wow wow wow wow, take it easy on that list. Make sure you never buy anything with the name weapon r on it. Second no need for an intake manifold on a stock turbo car. I'll put it in your language.

Stage 1
-intake filter (buschur or apexi)
-MBC (halman)
-Turboback
-Flash
-Boost gauge
-Diverter valve (Stock IX or forge)
-Walbro 255 or stock IX will be good up to around 360awhp

Stage 2
-02 housing
-larger FMIC
-Intercooler piping
-exhaust manifold (ported or tubular)
-10.5 hotside or since it is cheap now just get a IX turbo

Stage 3
-cams and gears
-meth
-wideband

This should point you in the right direction and keep you busy for awhile.

Sir, I believe you are giving misinformation. The COBB Evo exhaust is a full 3" as you can see here:

You maybe thinking of the Subaru downpipe where the neck down has no effect on power until you are at the 400+whp range.

It's a bit of a misnomer that a catalytic converter robs you of power. A good high flow cat will have almost no effect on power until you are making abnormal amounts of it.

The 10.5 hotside is the exhaust side of the turbo (if you need basic info about turbos howstuffworks.com has a good beginer article) A stock 2003 is smaller than the stock 2005.

As for the air filter, if you go with a cone air filter Apexi is suppose block the most particles while having good air flow but is a little more pricey than say a Buschur ($140 Apexi / $80 for Buschur) Both are very good though and many people use both with out a problem.

Don't go with an Ebay intercooler, tests on here show it doesn't work effectively. I don't recall anyone reporting problems with the Ebay O2 housing, but some say its constructed poorly. General advice would be to be careful with Ebay because if you F up your engine its gunna suck.

In general you're going to want to start with intake and exhaust, the better turbo-ed cars breath the faster they are.

Good luck with your upgrades!!

Im sure you are going to get this but listen, those mods you picked are awful, and wont do much for you.

First off... 19psi is hardly anything. With a tune and 93octane, you can run 22-23psi safely.

Secondly, the K&N intake has proven to be one of the worst available for the EVO.

Third, cam gears are not needed and youd be MUCH better off buying a set of GSC or HKS cams ($500-550).

Fourth, you dont need a manifold just yet. There are many other mods you would benefit from before this. If you do go for a manifold later on, you should get a ported/coated stock manifold, as they dont crack (like most tubulars) and they provide the same if not more gains (in 99% of the cases).

Fifth, turboback exhaust with no cat is good.

Sixth, flash is good, but if you dont have any experience tuning, I would leave it to someoen who does as you can cause serious damage to the engine.

Your list of mods should look like this.

Manual Boost controlller
Turboback exhaust (downpipe, cat delete, catback)
Lower IC Pipe
02 Housing
Fuel Pump
EVO9 stock BOV
Cams
10.5 Turbine housing (since you have an 03)
Ported stock manifold
FMIC upgrade with UICP
TUNE

If you want to stop at lets say 02 housing, a tune should follow after a complete set of modifications. You can throw intake in the mix, however, you need a tune IMMEDIATELY following installing an intake since it will cause problems on an untuned car. However, there are some intakes (one being K&N) that are just plain awful. I reccomend HKS, Buschur or Helix.
