Invidia o2 Housing and Lower Heatshield

i just installed an Invida o2 housing and since the housing relocates the o2 sensor the lower heatshield doesnt fit on properly. also there are no screw holes in the invidia o2 housing for me to bolt the lower heatshield to. i can only bolt it to the 10.5 hotside. can i leave the lower heatshield off or should i modify it to make it fit? what would be the best way to do this?

is the invidia 02 housing ceramic coated?
i bought the mine from buschur and it was coated for heat issues so the lower heatshield wasnt a concern for me.
good luck

You can leave it off. I'm running the Megan o2 and there's no holes to screw the heatshield into that either. I just cut off the bottom half of the heatshield and bolted it onto the manifold. There's a screw hole on the manifold for the lower heat shield. It'll hang on by one bolt but it'll work. Here's a picture:

You don't need that lower heat shield with that O2.
