Hks Ss Bov

I have a bubby with a 2G GS-T with a HKS SS BOV that he is selling. What I want to know is:

1) Is it a direct bolt on?

2) Will I have any idling or stalling issues?

3) Can I just buy a new one specifically for my EVO?

4) Is there a recerulation kit for this BOV and how much quieter would it be not vented?

I heard the HKS SS last night and I love the sound of it and I know HKS makes some really good stuff so some help would be greatly appreciated. He was only running 12psi and it was loud so I couldn't imagine what it would sound like on 19.

Thanks, Corey

The HKS did not do well in tests (search for SCC)
For a lot less ($150) you can get a Forge DV (recirc) valve and be better off. I wouldn't vent to atmosphere on the Evo.

1) yes, 2G kit fits Evo
2) no, I never did
3) yes, some 3rd parties are making kits, HKS is making one but hasn't released it yet.
4) 2G recirc kit fits well but needs a simple extra piece of hose to fit tight. With stock airbox it's pretty quiet and only slightly audible with large blow-offs. I have a cone filter on and the car sounds like a jet when accel'ing and the blow-off is quite loud. Search for my HKS SSQV install in this section, I've got sound clips on the web site.

Thanks for the reply. So you don't have any idling problems or staliing problems at all? Hmmm...so I guess I'll be taking a chance if I buy one then being some people do and some people don't? I heard the HKS SS a couple days ago on 12 psi and it was loud as hell. So I'm sure it'll be louder on 19.
