enjoy! I had the same issue early this spring. Thats how I was able to convince the wife to let me send my x-mission, and since it was out send the transfer too, to Shep for rebuild. Also did my clutch at that time.

^^^ not likely. I wasn't gonna get that lucky so I went with Shep. You have many parts installed but it doesn't hurt to ask. The deakership told me they would have to drop and disassemble the tranny before they could decide warranty or not. Sounded like BS to me but whatever. Hopefully your dealership will handle it better.

My 5th doesn't grind...it's just notchy. My 5th gear changes are very deliberate...don't want to make the mistake most do and shift from 4th back to 3rd ....

bushwaker or shep rebuilt parts are expensive and labor is intensive and of course you have to know what your doing. Your choice if you try let us know this is the second thread on this issue at the forum right now which means we are not alone (unfortunately)

Same fifth gear grind since the beginning then they service center said they would have to disassemble the tranny put in a stock clutch because the one in the tranny was slipping charge me for the stock clutch and labor then see if my 5th gear synchro would still be grinding they were acting like it was because of the clutch like alot of evos dont have that problem. Why would I want another stock clutch when I could get a better one for less I was tight when they said they would have to put a stock clutch in. I said forget it and left the tranny how it was.
