AMS recommended Redline, i'm a bit worried....
I wish one of the big oil companies would test Diaqueen against other 80w90 GL-5's. They've tested GM, Chrysler, and other big companies fluids and they were terrible, and overpriced. I'd be very willing to bet that Diaqueen is just overpriced barely on-par gear oil at best.
We actually aren't sponsered by Redline at all. AMSOIL actually sponsers our fluids for the Drag car. I've been using both lately and had good results from all.
Here is some good reading on gear oils. AMSOIL even shows you that their products don't test on top in every single test, but is a very balanced product that does everything well instead of sacrificing in one area to come out on top in another.

Diaqueen is simply an 80w90 Hypoid-C gear oil. As long as you use any fluid that is rated to meet or exceed that standard, they cannot legally void the warranty. You the consumer are covered in this scenerio by the Magnussen-Moss act of 1978.
One reason to use fluids from a company like AMSOIL is the AMSOIL Limited Warranty (use AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil as recommended in mechanically sound equipment, and the warranty covers lubricant related failures).

Well i'm not too sure what to do. From what I gathered so far the Mt-90 is just fine for the tranny, probably better than the stock fluid and it is rated GL-4. However most people seem to agree upon only Diaqueen in the TC. However the rear diff is still up in the air. I've always read the heavyweight shockproof in the rear diff. is actually recommended. This has held true even back in the old DSM days.
Should I keep the redline fluids in the TC and rear diff. and just wait until I change them out next summer? Or should I swap them out now even though it was just done 4 months ago?

I've been using redline shockproof heavy in my TC since 10,000 miles. I know have 40k+ and over 20 open track events. Every fluid change it is clean.
I also use redline 75-90 in the rear diff since 10k as well. No problems, always clean.

dude leave em in...you'll be fine..you are not going to destroy your tranny with those oils over the next couple months..
if you are uncomfortable with them change them when it's time..you'll be fine..
it's not like you stuck olive oil in there....
some people run the combo you are running all the time..
