5th/6th Gear Syncro or Clutch Adjustment?

Lately, while driving down the highway for a period of time, whenever I try and pull the gear lever out of 6th, it's somewhat "sticky" and doesn't want to pop out very easily. After I get it out and try to put it back into 5th or 6th, everything appears to be fine. I have noticed an intermittent grind occasionally when shifting into 5th gear, but 6th has never given me a problem.

Also, lately, going into 2nd is sometimes difficult without grinding to, could this be a clutch adjustment issue or the beginnings of transmission issues?

Thanks!

--------------------UPDATE------------------------

I've narrowed the issue down. Gears 1-5 work fine as long as I don't try and engage 6th gear. I can force 6th, but when I disengage (to downshift) all of the other gears seem to "lockout" and the gear lever is very "gummy" and "resistant." I played with it in the garage last night and anytime I engage 6th it appears to effect all gears, if I put it into 5th, it appears to "reset" the tranny and I can wiggle some freedom back into the gear lever.

I know many others have had this exact issues, what was the cause?

I'm going to give the clutch adjustment a shot and see how that goes. How can you adjust the gear linkage?

On UK/JDM car:

Remove battery and cover, 3 bolts triangle shape holds gear linkages, if someone moves the gears you will see them move. Loosen bolts, fiddle with linkages until happy!

I know many others have had similar issues with their 6-speed transmissions, did anyone resolve theirs or find out what was the cause of the problem?

I e-mailed Shep about this problem and his response is below...
