The IX mag wheels definately blew up even at stock boosts, I remember seeing a thread here or some local hong kong forum about it.

IX MR 155G mag wheels, there aren't that many sources about it, TiAl - Al is a no cost option for IX MR.

That really sounds like the right choice to me.

A Ti-AL 9 turbo with BB conversion. Might even want to put it in a 9.8 hotside instead of the 10.5 it comes with. Should help spool maybe 100-200 RPM without hurting power much.

You could also get the Evo400 4" inlet (although I don't really know much about that or how much it helps, do you?)

I had a 4inch inlet on my evo 8 turbo. Who is a good suplier of std turbos in the us then?? as there are other companies in the uk that do bb cons etc, at a cheaper price than evo400

Lancershop is fine also. Just don't order the 20G with the 6 blade compressor. They are proven to be inefficient, the 5 blade is the good one.

yea no problem.

What are other UK shops that do BB conversion?

It odd almost no one in the US even talks about BB conversion or 4" inlet.

How much has each been shown to help in the UK?

You would be better speaking to Dave at EVO400, he has graphs etc for this.

Essex turbos, alot of people on the MLR use them.

Smaller turbos tend to spool faster. 50 trim is pretty fast

Probably, if you limit yourself to mixing and matching Mitsubishi factory wheels within factory housings, then the relatively exotic, JDM/UK-Market, IX RS turbo(mag comp wheel/TiAl turbine), fitted with a 9.0 cm turbine housing would be pretty spooly for a non-B.B. turbo. You could achieve almost the same thing, but cheaper, by doing a TME-9 with a 9.0 housing.

EDIT: In the U.S., either Blouch Turbo or Forced Performance, can build you a TME-9 w/ 9.0 turbine housing relatively on the cheap. In fact, FP has some 9.0 cm2 housings in stock.
