I just bought an EVO IX turbo for my 2003 EVO 8. I am wondering if the FP Install kit with the SS Race Pipe will work with a IX turbo on an 8 and with the stock intercooler? I dont want to pay $180 for the BR Install Kit if the FP kit will work for $130 and a SS pipe instead of the plastic j-pipe?

That SHOULD fit the stock lower IC pipe. Id call FP and ask, maybe they know. Also, the stock lower IC pipe sucks and you shouldnt be using it :-)

 

It should work... last time I saw the SS race pipe it terminated in nearly the same spot as the stocker... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
