You set the gain according to how much boost you want.

no thats not what i am talking about!
the EBC has 2 settings
"SET" 0-100% <<<controls boost
"GAIN" 0-100 <<controls when and how hard the turbo spools
what i need to know is what is a recommended and safe number to set the GAIN at

this is something that varies quite a bit from car to car so you will have to test & set it yourself.

assuming you already have the base duty cycle for your target boost......

(the graph mode is handy here) start with gain at 5, get on the boost right where your turbo peaks & look at the memory to see if it overshot your target boost. if it did not, move the gain up in 3-5 point increments until you overshoot your intended boost, then reset the momory, dial the gain back 1-2 points until you hold steady boost @ your target & your done.

typical values seen on evo's are anywhere between 15-40

Set the GAIN to be 50 and start from there.
