Upgrading Turbo .. CAM ideas please?

First of all, I already have GSC 264/272 cams installed....

I need ideas on what kind of cams to go with on my new setup.

Here is going to be the new setup:

Precision Dual Ball bearing 57 trim Turbo
ETS 3" Intake w/K+N Filter
ETS 3" Downpipe
ETS LICP
Tial 38mm External Wastegate
ETS Tubular Manifold
ETS 02 housing
ETS 3.5" Exhaust
PTE 780cc Injectors
ETS UICP short route w/Tial 50mm BOV
MAF translator and GM 3" MAF
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Turbo XS 24x11.75x3.5" FMIC

I want my setup to be very streetable and have a good powerband.. with good spool and torque.

Please recommend me cams that would suit my needs and would not require new springs and retainers.. but I do plan to put ARP head studs in at the same time.

THANK YOU

Also, if you have any other recommendations.. feel free to chime in and let me know!

i would recomend some 272's, but if your not changin the springs and retainers, your quite limited to bc or hks.

u know sctuned r doin a fab deal on the springs and retainers.

if you change them your cam choice doubles/triples.

tomei, jun, cossie, piper....

i jus ordered my springs and retainers, and it's cossie/jun/tomei for me.

I got the ETS 57 trim and with pretty much the same stuff you got and i got the HKS 272s. I would also recommend getting some camgears to fine tune timing. I would also get some rod bolts.

The S1 cams might not be a bad choice.

Rob,
Any of the above mentioned cams will do a great job for you, hell even your current cams will produce good results. For dollar per horsepower gain you may be best to run the cams you have now and only change if your tuner feels that you are leaving enough power on the table to justify the switch. Any way you cut it, that thing is going to MOVE

thanks for all of the replies!

how hard is it to install springs and retainers?? I really want to get the best set of cams I can ...

are the s1's a lot better than the regular 264/272 cams that I have now?

thanks!!!!!!

I doubt that you will see any significant peak power improvement going from your present cam combo to the S1 set. Its a horizontal move and not worth the trouble IMO. You would be doing a lot of wrenching for minimal gains.

The 57trim should be pretty hard hitting up top while the S1s are mostly a mid range torque grind. If I were trying to mate a set of cams to a 57, I would search high and low for a set of used Revolvers. Although the Revolvers would require springs and retainers.
