What's wrong with my tranny/clutch?

Problem: Can't shift in gear while the car is stop, I have to push the knob really hard to get it into the gear, and once it into a gear(doesn't matter which one), it's free to shift all gears. But if you put it in neutral, release the clutch, problem will come back. Sometime it happens even if you already in gear, and put in neutral without release the clutch for a little while(most time it's fine). But shift ok while the car is running, not perfect like new but I can shift easy.

Plus, everytime I park the car, there's heavy clutch smell from engine bay. I'v tried to push the car little bit and clutch never slip at all.

Any idea?

Looks like it's common, I'v thought 5 spd tranny is pretty solid, or it's the clutch?

Maybe you can try stainless steel clutch line and remove the restrictor on the stock line.

What clutch do you have? and if you smell a lot of clutch from the bay and it's been goign on quite a while you probably glazed it, or it's draging. You'll have to provide more detail about your car and how you drove to make this happen.

I just bought the car from dealer, should be original clutch. It's my daily, just regular highway and local driving.

I did adjusted the pedal, doesn't work.

How many miles do you have on the car? If ou say you didn't launch the car at all and just picked it up brand new from the dealer and still using the stock clutch. I don't see what the problem really is. It just seems like you still need some more breaking in, I mean you can try doing a tranny oil change and see what comes out but if nothing comes out then you should be fine. I would hate to jump to the conclusion that the dealer you bought the car from abused it before handing it over to you but that may have been the case. However, there isn't much info provided to support that.

How many miles were on the car when you first got it at the dealer before driving it off the lot? How does the clutch feel, does it feel liek it grabs when you first engage it or does it feel smooth?

It's used, 31k, a lot for 9, I don't know how previous drive the car, that's why I said I'll just go ahead replace the clutch, I don't want my tranny get fxxk up. But I will try to bleed the clutch line first tomorrow.

Clutch feels pretty normal, but as I said, heavy clutch smell from engine bay.

First try adjusting the clutch but I would have to bet on, if you lanuched the car , the clutch isn't disengaging. Meaning it's engaged so you can't shift into gears unless you shut off car and start in first. Most likely you fryed you clutch and it won't disengage from the flywheel.
