Please help oil leak!!!!

ok guys over the past two days I installed the upper and lower intercooler pipes and intake and did a boost leak and everything seemed fine except a damn leak at the throttle body seal. Anyways I take the car for a test drive and all seemed fine until I pulled to a stop sign and saw smoke coming from my hood so I limped home and found a oil leak, the bolts seem tight what do you guys suggest? Hopefully picture works

it appears you need a new gasket for your oil return line.

this is an easy fix, go to mitsubishi dealer and buy a oil return line gasket for oil pan, drain the oil, clean the arena, replace the gasket with new one, these are 10mm bolts.

Looks like a gasket went bad. Did you remove those bolts before you noticed a leak?

No never touched the bolts just started leaking for no apparent reason, but I did have my idiot friend help me with the licp and wouldn't be surprised if he banged the oil return line.

ok just got back from mitsubishi and said the gasket won't come in till Monday. I am assuming that getting a new gasket is a must and it is not even worth trying to rig it up with silicone??? Also is it likely that my motor got hurt at all? and what is the best diagnosis, compression check?

thanks for your help guys

No do not rig that with silicone, Your motors ok, now if that would have been a oil Feed line to the turbo id say your turbo might have been a bit deprived of oil but its just a return line. Keep and eye on your Oil lvl until you replace that gasket. and then still keep an eye on it.

I had the exact same problem when I installed my EVO IX turbo. I was a idiot and tried to reuse the old return line gaskets which resulted in oil spray everywhere. Soon after, the two gaskets were replaced and havent had a problem since.
