Flow comparison

Hello guys.

please tell me:

how much flow on GT3071R, GT3076R and GT35R is the same flow like on the stock evo 8 turbo (small 16G) with 1.6Bar (22-23psi)?!

And how many lb are possible on these garret turbos?
Thank you.

It would be great if the answer was so simple, but it isn't.

One has to consider things such as rpm, volumetric efficiency, intercooling efficiency, and other variables that affect the answer. After all, are we talking about the difference between two turbos at 1.6 bar for 4000rpm or 6500 rpm? There will be a difference.

In short, the greater the rpm and boost pressure, and the more mechanically efficient the engine at greater rpm, the greater the difference for a single point of manifold pressure as we progress from 16G up to GT35R.

hi ted.

Think you have a men who would upgrade an evo with one of these turbos.
The men would drive this turbo for a couple of months nearly the same flow as an small-16G with 23psi, because his engine built-up is not ready yet.

what would you suggest him how much boost could he drive?

Consider that a stock EVO8 turbo at 1.6 bar will usually make around 350whp (on US Dynojets) with popular upgrades (exhaust, mild cams, etc.).

A similar car with GT3071R at 1.6 bar will usually make 370-380whp

A similar car with GT3076R at 1.6 bar will usually make 390-400whp

A similar car with GT35R at 1.6 bar will usually make around 410-420whp.

This is very general information, and there are many things that can affect this, but I hope it helps you.
