Just the opposite. I'll bet a lot of people who street drive their cars regret NOT getting a stroker when they had the chance.

I'm hooked. If/when I wear out my current stroker motor (AMS standard 2.3 fully built and machined by Tuning Technologies), I'll certainly buy another.

good stuff, reason i ask is im booked in for a stroker motor in 2 weeks time so just making sure im making the right decision as its not too much more price wise than a 2 litre build

i cant wait for the extra torque, im gonna run on stock 8 turbo with 10.5, for a few months with 750cc's till i get a bigger turbo.

you should not let others decide what is best for you.

you need to ask yourself a question

do you drag/highway the car???
do you track/treet the car
what size turbo.

you can become very unhappy when making a big mistake like a wrong motor comes into play.

disagree...2.0 is the way to go rev higher and will last a whole hella lot longer... there is more friction on the rings with a 2.3 since it requires differnt rods that produce a larger rod angle....which means you will be wearing rings and the sidewalls of the block alot faster...

by the way what dyno did you put thos numbers down on?...me 35r full bolt on... stock motor stock ecu stock intake etc- went the same mph 128 same et 11.0 but only put down 480hp/ 402 tq... on a dynojet...

Actually its the same standard length rods. The crank goes from 89mm to 100mm stroke, and the wrist pin moves up in the piston to account for the extra stroke.

Properly machined and taken care of(ie, not over rev and maintenance), the motor will last just fine.

Subscribing and want to add a question to the original post.

Everyone says that a stroker will not last as long. So my question is:

How long is a stroked motor expected to last?
