Stock O2 sensor replacement alternatives?

Does anyone know if I can source the stock narrowband O2 sensor from someone other than Mitsubishi? IIRC the Mitsu sensor is somewhat overpriced...

I run leaded race gas 24/7 and wanted a spare O2 "just in case". I made a post in the wanted forum and got a like new used O2 from a fellow EVO owner.

I paid $75 shipped. I recommend doing the same.

you can pick up a generic bosch 02 sensor from any local auto parts store. The only difference is the plug won't match, but that's an easy fix. I forget what I paid for mine, it was cheap though and works perfectly.

Will any Bosch work, or is there a specific part number that I need? I'd rather not go the route of a used one ... I just don't trust used O2 sensors.

If you are looking for great plug n' play o2 sensors you can get them at http://oxygengeek.com/. The SNG sensors they sell are great and you cant beat the price with the connector! There is no reason to pay $230+ for a Mitsubishi labeled Denso o2 sensor.

The Front o2 sensor (SN4-126) is $48.67

The Rear o2 sensor (SN4-60) is $63.94

These guys were great and I got a replacement 2 days after I ordered.

I've got a stock one I pulled off my car at 22K. I thought it was a bad O2 sensor, but it was a dirty MAF probe. You want it? Name your shipped price and PM me.

I need an o2 sensor. Is the one you have for the front or the rear?

If you run race gas, just unplug your rear o2 sensor & dont worry about it getting fouled out

The only difference between the sensor is the length of wiring and the type of connector. I would pick up any generic sensor, and splice your factory connector onto the replacement sensor

here's a link to the exact bosch unit i've been using for over a year. I have a wideband also, and I idle and cruise at 14.7:1, so I know it's working.

$35 and change.... you can't beat it. 4 wires to hook up, and there are instructions on which colors tie into which wires on the factory harness.

http://oxygengeek.com/item.wws?mfr=Bosch&sku=SN4-105

It's Bosch part number 15730.

thanks guys.

CrackerJackToy, I'm looking to replace the front O2 sensor, not the rear O2 sensor. Can't just unplug the front one, unfortunately.
