Exhaust Manifold install sequence (tightening nuts)

is there any especial squence to to tighten the nuts to the block and turbo housing? similar to when you tighten the wheels of a car?

if so where can I find this information? thanks

if you mean tighten the exhaust manifold to the head, start from the inside and work your way out. Not sure on the turbo housing.

According to FSM you start 2 out side and work your way in. There was a post around here about it.

you want to start from the center. If there is any deformity in the flange, you can work the deformity out towards the edges as you lock down the center of the manifold first, and move outward. If you lock the ends down first, there is nowhere for the deformity to go.

You want to start from the center out like everyone else said. It is also a lesser chance of leaking through the gasket when you're finsihed.

Whatever pattern you choose (FSM or whatever), good thing to progressively torque them several times until you reach target value. But good luck getting an accurate value on two of the bottom ones.

Start form the center, and work your way out in a criss cross pattern... I've always done this wat\y, and never had leaking

Basically like you would on the head studs...inside out & if you feel like it, torque step it.
