ATP Turbo Kit
Why is it that I dont see more members utilizing a stealthy setup such as the ATP GT30R kit? I have found that I want a GT30 setup for the perfect street spooling turbo, and really love the sounds of how it bolts up to the stock manifold for a even more stealth look. They seem to make great power as well... super street rated the before numbers below:
Stock = 235.79 hp // 249.08 lb-ft
ATP GT30 Kit = 421.41 hp // 354.77 lb-ft of torque.

ppl dont like the atp turbo because their unique turbine housing bolts up to the stock evo twin scroll manifold yet the turbo is not twin
benfit = bolts up to stock type manifold
drawback= slower spool and less overall power than a standard open scrool gt35r with a standard t3 turbine housing

last time i heard 470awhp 391torque sounded good to me on a mustang dyno on 110oct.

+1
But I agree with you...for the price you can't beat it. Most turbo kits out there are twice the price of the kit. I guess for the money I am saving I can deal with a little lag

With peak torque at 5500 rpm, is that good? A properly set up GT35R/HTA35r will hit higher numbers with peak torque hitting at a lower rpm.
ATP Turbo kits are pretty unique. The design is iffy but it definitely works and is proven. I will post dyno grapghs of my own personal setup when its finished. Ported ATP GT3540R, Busher Manifold, Cosworth M2's + full bolt on on 91 then on 91 + meth

That kit is crap. I drove around on it for a couple of months and it was terrible. My roomate had an ATP 35r and I killed him on my stock turbo. Just get a green turbo and meth. You will make over 400awhp and spool same as what you do now. Also you will be spooling at 4500-4600 with that kit. Also you wont really hear the external wastegate because it is routed back into the exhaust. I just installed the buschur 3065 and for a couple hundred more you will fulfill your wants more than what the atp kit will do.
I dunno how you can over look 9sec9's new numbers on the green. All he had done is some head work and cams along with tuning of course. But everything else was stock. Ive always wanted a 35R but with those numbers he posted especially 500 ft/lbs of torque. His tune boost or torque dont spike so all i can say is it came on early.
