White Smoke!!! What are you!?

Just got done putting a 10.5 hotside on my evo 8 and when i got everything back together and started the car i had white smoke coming up from under the manifold, probably from the hotside/turbo. It didn't smell like exhaust, and it didn't smell like coolant or oil. It had a kind of paint or chemical smell.

My buddy said it's probably the oil on the hotside, that they use to keep it from rusting when it's sitting in the warehouse. But i started to hear a feint sizzling too.

Anyone have any ideas?

I didn't let it run too long because i had to run off to work as soon as i got done.

I agree, crap burning off of the manifold. I had this happen to motorcycle exhausts a dozen times over, especially with headers. Considering it gets very hot, very quick inside that housing, I'd imagine it would be gone quickly.
