EGR elimination how-to available?
You might be able to get to that stuff from on top but I can't say for sure.

My bet would be that you have to go under the car to get off a couple of the bolts. Probably the ones on the intake mani bracket are best accessed from underneath. Other than that I would say a whole bunch of swivel sockets and wrenches and some clever maneuvering and you should be fine.
Overall it was pretty easy for me since the trans was out but I have heard that otherwise it can be a pretty huge pain.

It will throw a code. But you can disable the EGR test so no light comes on but you will still not pass emissions.
If you want to know how to disable EGR then look at Mr. Freds post about installing a JDM Map sensor in the ECU Flash section.

what dose a egr do any ways
Plus coats your intake mainfold with black soot! Should also in theory cool your intake charge ever so slightly due no hot exhaust being reburned.

The green is the EVAP canister solenoid. While your under there I figured you might want to take that off as well.

You can even take off the large black intake manifold bracket if you so desire. That will save another 1-2 lbs.
