dipstick coming out
dipstick coming out
my dipstick keeps on coming out not all the way out though but it comes out a little bit so maybe the pressure wants to come out of the dipstick

happens all the time most people either zip tie it in place or use a heavy duty spring to hold it in place. i believe buschur sells them on their website, nothing to worry about
A cheap way to hold it is is to put a small hose clamp around the dip stick tube near the end, and then use a zip tie that is just tight enough looped through the dip stick handle and around the screw area of the hose clamp. Re-usable since you can slide the zip tie on and off.

I have actually used both. I had the spring by buschur and am currently using the O rings by CBRD. Even though I never had the dipstick pop out even after many autocrosses I figured I would do it just to be safe. The buschur spring is a very stiff brake spring and I sometimes need pliers to put back on the dipstick bracket. When I would take it off it would sometimes get away from me and fall down under the dipstick bracket. This was a problem because I check my oil every week and the process was a bit annoying. Also If I wasn't careful I would get my sleeve dirty retrieving the spring from the bottom of the dipstick. If I had only kept it on when I was racing and not all the time it would probably be fine.
As far as the replacement O rings are concerned, they work much better for me. I dont have to worry about dealing with a spring each time I check my oil and you can see how well the O rings hold the dipstick in there because it takes considerably more force to pull out the dipstick than with the stock O rings.

I've got one!...its a cheap and easy fix
simple fix. Discount auto parts sell 2 springs in a pack for $1 & change. Both ends are straight so you just need to cut to length and bend the ends. Simple as that.
