complete exhausts

I have been reading this forum for about 3 weeks now gathering info on what mods to do and what brands are the best. I have an understanding about pretty much everything, except the full exhausts. There just seem to be so many ones out there. The ones that seem most popular are: RMR, AMS, Buschur Racing, UR, and of course Vishnu.

My top two choices (I think) are RMR and Vishnu

RMR: cheap, sounds great, but have read some bad reviews about them

Vishnu: sounds great, read nothing but good things about them, great advice from Shiv on these forums , but pricey

This is where you guys come in, what do you suggest? I need all the help I can get. If you have any info about the other complete systems, please share your wisdom!

THANKS!

Talking

Vishnu all the way -- you get what you pay for. I had a wrx and was contemplating between the APS Turbo Exhaust and the Vishnu Signature series. Vishnu surpasses all...

RMR. I just sold a couple and got them shipped to me. Took one look at it and fell in love. Adds 12 WHP and it is as straight as they get ! Looks great on the exterior too. Low tone and 50 state sound legal even with 3" downpipe ! If you choose RMR, let me know. I can take care of you. I can also get AMS but not Vishnu. No worries if you decide on Vishnu but let me know if you lean toward the RMR. Thanks !

Not in your list but look at Ultimate Racing. Their stuff is top notch and they have very good customer service. Darryl is a great help and really stands behind his prodcuts. I just got my 3" DP and Cat delete from them, very nice quality and the DP even has a flex joint. I'm installing tomarrow so I'll give you an update. Anyway I am very pleased with my Ultimate racing experience and will be buying more from them as soon as i have money

Also if your going to go with exhaust just in your list, Vishnu is for sure top notch. Had their exhaust on my wrx. I will be going with vishnu's xede engine management when the time is right.

hey there buddy, this is a thread for EVO's, not regular lancers. You would find more info if you went to the lancer forum.

SOOOoooo, back to the topic of EVO exhausts......

Does anybody have any comparisons of exhaust performance? Maybe something that compares the amount of horsepower added by each system? Also, what is a good exhaust that has a loud and deep gurgle sound to it?

Go for the Ultimate Racing exhaust. Quality is top notch. The welds are like perfect. Whole system is stainless steel 3", and it's not deathly loud like some of the others out there. Also, the UR turbo back exhaust clears everything. The stock lower tie bars stay, and check engine light stays off, even with their test pipe.

All the bad news about RMR was not their parts, but the service. The exhaust is awesome - a few of us here in So Cal have them. It sounds mean, but not too loud. I am 31 and I don't want some buzzing ricebox or Mustang GT-wannabe sound...

The quality and fit are top-notch
