Tranny Problem with my 9 MR

Hey guys just looking for some advice on this situation i think it might be the shifter bushings or the shifter cable. Well what's happening is it's just really had to put the car into 3rd and 4th. There is no grind or anything it goes very smoothly but it's hard to push it into gear. and downshifting from 3rd to 2nd it feels like it's getting caught on a lockout or something and won't go into 2nd unles i put it back into 3rd and 4th and then try 2nd again. I have 30k on the car just replaced the clutch so i know it's not the clutch and i changed all the fluids. What typicaly happens when the shifter bushing's are shot? i don't think it's the synchro's because they usually grind when they are bad and the car isn't grinding. Also the car is a 6 speed.

-Thanks

if the only thing you have done differently is the clutch, and now you are having issues than maybe it was the installation. your clutch might need to be adjusted?

wish i had more info for you, but then again i sent you guys an email, a pm, and left a voicemail dating as far back as mid november, and still no response

Try bleeding the clutch slave cylinder, if the clutch is not fully disengaging it will be harder to change gears.

If you have the car parked without the car running, is it still hard to put the shifter in 3rd and 4th gear?

Either one of two things happened.

Your transmission overheated and warped the 3rd/4th hub sleeve, it's now binding up on the hub and doesn't move back and & forth easily. It's possible that the synchro keys jump out and now the key spring is interfering with the sleeve's movement... both are typical of the 6 speed and if you continue to drive it you may end up ruining the transmission. I wouldn't drive it.

Has this car been road raced?
Have you changed the transmission oil?
What oil are you currently using?

+1

Bushing problems usually affect gears in the following pairs: 1+3 or 2+4
