spend the extra cash and get the 35r...you can get them brand new for under 1100 bucks

*coming from non ball bearing to dual ball bearing is like night and day....espeacially if its a daily driver....

Hey bud, type in ETS 61mm in the search category and you will find many results. I have been making threads about the ETS 61mm for about a month now with tons of information: videos, dyno graphs, spool up vids, etc. For those who say the turbo sucks, don't have a clue. The turbo is awesome, especially in conjunction with a quality kit turbo kit. Check out all the DTM/ETS threads, they will all have lots of true and factual data. The turbo is also offered in ball bearing now, I know this because I have it.
Most current setup with dyno video and dyno sheet:

After my first pump gas tune with spool up video and some flyby vids:

Hope this helps!

I have a clue.. i've owned three evo's and currently have two in my garage..
The fact that the turbo is a non-ball bearing is reason enough to say that it's a piece..
you guys know everything i guess

20psi on this turbo is a joke in an evo good luck bro..
have fun between 5.5k and 7.5k rpms

i must have missed something... i didnt know dbb's that cant be rebuilt, spool slightly faster and cost twice as much.. were better then typical journal bearing turbo's

i guess thats why borg warner and turbonetics do so horribly in the turbo market

This turbo is pretty much the worst pump gas turbo anyone could recommend on an evo..

pumpgas yes, 57 is the max i would run on pump.

But you need to realise, there is 2 different 60 mm turbos that could be tricking people. t3/t4 60-1 which is rated @ 475, and then the T4 60-1 which is basically PT61 same thing just about which is the same as a 35r without water cooling.

I dont see whats impressive with the ets kit or with that setup. On 26 psi it only made 417awhp.....mellon made 400awhp on 20psi with a hta gt35(IIRC). Help me out here....(edit)....Low reading dyno?

Wow, I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend your expertise. 3 evos?!?!

Haha, I didn't buy this turbo to run on pump gas, I bought it to run with methanol at 30+ psi, and my turbo is ball-bearing. I don't think I know anything though, you are the expert with all the evo experience. I haven't had any experience in the evo world.

By the way, who is considering buying this turbo to run on pump gas??

New to the boards?? I don't know what to tell you bud, do some more research I guess, more particularly on mustang dynos. Add anywhere between 12-15% and you will have the converted dynojet number. The setup is terrible though, don't go with it.

A look at the compressor maps reveals the 35R to be considerably more efficient than a 60-1 at PRs where real power is generated. A 60-1 is better suited toward a low pressure application on a high compression V8. A 35R is a better, far more efficient turbo for an EVO.
