Buschur intake pipe users, what way is your pipe installed?

I was helping a buddy with his IX today and noticed that his intake pipe was installed backwards compared to mine. I remember when I installed mine, if I had it the way his was, the filter would hit the hood of the car. I have been plagued with part throttle driveability with various BOV's, and am running a stock IX BOV right now, and it is smooth as silk, I love it. I'm wondering if some of the issues I was having might be caused by the pipe recirculating too close to the MAF.

Anyone else have any other input?

My pipe is backwards compared to this pic on buschur's site:

I would put yours the other way. That is how it was designed.

should be installed like the pics...mine doesnt hit the hood either when properly installed. Try angling the intake a little toward the firewall or sliding the piping furthfer into the couplers...

Mine is correct. The top of the diverter should be facing the front of the car.
