recommended spark plug gap

I was wanting some advice on what to gap my spark plugs at, replacing them today to NGK BR8ES plugs. My mods are in my sig, running about 23 psi, always 93 oct. Thanks in advance for the help.

Exactly. I think most will tell you that an 8 is too cold for only 23psi.

the gapping of 0.026" is dead nuts in the middle of the factory manual spec of 0.024" - 0.028"

just curious...what results would the OP see if he put in the 8s? I had read, and was misinformed that stage 1-2 required a colder plug. So I threw some 8s in mine before the summer. And it was my first summer at the drag strip with this car. My mph was WAAAYY lower than I expected with my mods. And Im wondering if that was the culprit.

You don't need the 8's at the boost level you are running. But you can use them, they're just going to get fouled up quicker. .026 should be fine.

Cold range plugs will last good using an ignition amplifier.

I use race fuels, and before the HKS DLI-II, yes, they would go bad between 30~60 Days.

Now, they last as long as the Stock Plugs with the HKS unit, and stay clean, and they don't fault.
My boost is on the street 25 psi on 93 pump, and 33~35 psi on race gas.

Gaping the plugs to less than .025 I loose power, and the car does not like it.
Going above .025, and the spark breaks up after a little while.

I use the non-projected NGK BR8.

Alright, due to the overwhelming majority of people telling me to go to the 7's I'm going back to the parts store. That was the plug that was on the car when I bought it, so i just figured that with the tune the original owner knew something that I didn't. I'll try out the 7's, gapped at .26

Make sure it's 0.026 and not 0.26

Wow.....so much mis-information in this thread.

Search my name + spark plugs if you're interested in actual fact about spark plugs and spark plug gaps.

Frankly, i'm sick of repeating myself.....it seems most of you don't pay attention anyway.
