Exclamation My Dilemma

I am currently going through the dilemma of which turbo to upgrade to. The 50 trim or a 35r. I am going meth and 1000cc injectors either way. My goal is 510WHP without losing driveability and fun. My car is a DD so this is a hard decision for me. I guess if I go 35r and dislike how it drives daily and in traffic I could always sell it and throw on a 50 trim but i'm trying to do it right the first tiime instead of twice.
I know that there are countless threads and posts on this topic but I'm starting a new one. Has anyone else gone through a dilemma similar to this?

There are many Evo owners that have the 35r and daily drive their cars with no problems. If you want to do things right and not have any future regrets about not having enough power then your decision should be to get the 35r.

35r on pump gas can get you 500whp on the stock ecu too.

I'm sorry did you say a 35r can get me 500WHP on straight Pump? but by adding Meth it should spool a little faster and run cleaner correct?

get the 35R. I had a 30R on my car and moved to the 35R and honestly the "lag" is over rated.

I would say the 35R. If it is too laggy for you then instead of selling it and buying the 50 trim, you'll lose quite a bit of money in that transaction. I would just spend a little more and stroke the motor to a 2.2 or 2.3, that way it'll help out with your bottom and end, plus the HP that you're going to gain is going to be crazy.

Havn't really looked into stroking the motor. Maybe I should. I will be content with 510WHP. I don't want to go much more than that becausethen I will be looking at new clutches, tranny rebuilds, carbon fiber drive shafts ect...and the military don't pay me millions. . .lol

That 500whp is dll not dyno.

Once the tracks open up we will get some times to confirm whp.

I see, my goal is to run in the 10's for quarter mile and have a dyno sheet to show off to some of my boys in NY that don't belive 510WHP can be done without engine rebuild.

I seriously think you gain reach those goals on straight pump.

Get a good 60' and hit every shift clean and it will be close.

That's true, but there's no rule that says that you have to max out the turbo. I don't see anything wrong with running about 510-550whp with the 35R.

But were you planning to run 510whp on the stock bottom? How reliable is that?
