Tial Valve Seat problem

Ok the problem is the valve seat, my friends used valve seat slid in perfect and same problem with my valveseat in his, is it possible that this one could not have been machine correctly?

measure the OD and ID of the new valve seat for me,
it can be exchanged with no problem

Inside 35mm

but look at this you can see how when i tried to press it in its starting to smash the outside of the valveseat......

the OD of the stepped peice is def hitting the ID of the wg

This is very precise machining and close tolerances. That seat is now screwed. Throw it in the garbage. My suggestion to to buy a 44mm tial valve that comes with a Vband flange and weld that on. That is what I ended up doing and it worked out great for me. It is always nice to have the bigger WG anyway. Mo Money $$$$

problem solved! he has a 35mm wastegate come to find out (he has a rare gate...it's a high pressure 35mm (at the time it had a 40mm top which looks like a curent 38mm wastegate and 35mm casting))

LOL for real though think id have any issue's with a 35r?

You happen to check the springs?
