Adjustable Cam Gears and effects...

I was wondering in a 2.3 stroker while running a large turbo (37R+), do people shift the powerband to the left, so more of the power is usable within the strokers rev limit. Or do I have this all wrong and there's a reason why you shouldn't do this?
Also can someone explain whats the difference in aftermarket cam gears other than the number of bolts? Can you dail in more +/- timing in certain models.

Cam gears have varying degrees of usefulness, depending upon the cams and intended application. It's impossible to determine if cam gears are worthwhile only knowing displacement and turbo size.

Cam gears with 5 anchor points are what I would recommend. Otherwise, they all function similarly.
