I took mine out right after my Jestrtune flash. I road tested it before hand too so to see how big the results are. It gave me 2 extra psi of boost and the result was VERY noticable. In relative terms im not saying it gave me it but it felt like 20 HP difference.

to take things further i ran a single line from the wga to the bcs. went for a run and it hit 25-26 pounds from stock. did it again to show a friend a few weeks later and it spiked past 2 bar, the highest reading on my gauge..approximately 32-34 pounds...

I took the restrictor out on my 2005(10.5 hot side) and am running an greedy profec b spec 2. I peak at 23 psi and drop down to 19 @7500.

I say leave the lines alone: the evo I bought had the restrictors taken out and now I'm only seeing a constant 10-11psi, exactly the pressure that the wastegate actuator is supposed to open at. Taking the restrictions or the boost solenoid out of the equation WILL lower the boost significantly. This has already been explained on an earlier post: the factory boost solenoid acts just like an inline bleeder/mbc.

This car's boost levels are great from the factory, now the method of it's control may not be what everyone wants. We need to concentrate more on leaning the stock rich air/fuel mixture than upping the boost.

Removing the solenoid side pill will raise boost levels, but removing the turbo side pill will lower them drastically.

Ben, the stock AFR does suck, but there is much more power to be made with more boost. My Evo likes about 23.5 psi through the midrange and about 21 up top. I can still run 11.7:1 and a bit of timing at those settings.

OMG thanks, I have been looking all over for this little jewel of knowledge. I pulled mine out, and then I forgot how far it was supposed to go back into the line.

Imma take a chance to se if i can get some assistance, ive been sitting here now reading almost everything, facepalming myself that my virgin knowledge about this 4g63 Engine is so fresh, that i just threw away all the oem vacuum lines and replaced it with other silicone ones, Resulting in what it feels like more boost and power but it backfires and cuts the fuel. feeling like someone is just pulling the far from behind, hindering me to push further.
Also i dunno if it looks like this on every Engine, but mines in a Outlander Mk1, the Turbo one with the 4G63T engine.
And i think ive also messed up where all these steel oem vacuum lines that goes from the ebc, along the short side of the engine, and out the front at the same side as the Manifold.
I cant really follow which line is which without removing a lot of stuff which i DONT want to.
Could i get a picture of someones Steel vaacumline cluster, with some pointers to which goes to which.
Because something isnt hooked up right.
This car is tuned before i declared ownership, said the turbo was swapped out to a Evo one, but i cant find the boost source on the turbo, So my EBC is only connected to WGA.
i have attached a file here highlighting all the Vacuum routing i dont have a IDEA of where everything should go....

Please help, im dying..

Yes the line is at the turbo pipe so that is the boost source. If you threw everything away then you removed the restrictor pill. You can use the vacuum line diagram to replace the lines so that its a stock configuration. I think you just need a restrictor pill which is easy to source.

Isnt it stock configuration? Besides the new vacuum hoses, i have another turbo on this outlander but i didnt find the boost source. I need to find where all connections goes to.. 😬😟 The car should be fine without the pill..
