Opinions on what to do...

I just wanted to get some opinions on what I should do. I'm going to be getting my cams installed here shortly, I have headstuds too but was wonding if I should bother getting them installed. I don't plan on running a big turbo, Green would be the largest I would go. I only run 93 pump, no meth/alky/water...

So do I spend the extra $ and get them done, or do I just save my $ and sell them?

Is it worth my time and money?

well headstuds are more of a safety precaution if you are running lots of boost. Above 24-25 psi, get the headstuds installed or you could blow a head gasket.

Oh not this again. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you don't need those headstuds installed. THEY ARE NOT A SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. YOU NEWBS NEED TO QUIT POSTING THAT THEY ARE. MYSELF AND PLENTY OF METH CARS RUNNING MORE THAN 30LBS FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME HAVE NOT ONCE LIFTED A HEAD. THAT WAS A DSM PROBLEM. NOT OURS.

Just asking for a few opinions, no need to get hostile. ^ RevMoto^ Thats the way I'm leaning, just wondering what some others though.

Yeah, I mean I had always been taught "headstuds are safer for high boost applications." Thanks for the clarification. I only know one local guy who runs meth around here and I don't remember if he has studs or not.

I am not hostle but I hear this question asked everyday. Then you got your newbs coming in a recommending it. Then the newbs that got it installed are now other newbs who then continue to recommend it. It's a viscous cycle of the newbs.

I was told by my tuner that Evo head studs are a fad. The arp drop ins that every body does are just as good as the factory. To get the full affect of those studs is to install properly by taking the head off.

You should absolutely be fine with just cams. Unless you are going to be pulling the head off to rebuild the motor leave it alone.

The head would be pulled on my car, gotta do it the right way.
Yes, I am leaning towards not doing them, I don't want to crack that seal unless I absolutely have too.
