i have a quick question conserning knock..
i am thinking about 2 diff ways to do my exhaust on our built evo.. the first way would be using our dp and a turndown under the car. 2 would be fabing a down pipe to run threw the front bumper... how bad would the knock counts be affected by either of the 2 types of exhaust?? i figured the open dp would cause alot more phantom knock than it exiting out of the front bumper.. any ideas??

I dont think exhaust setups affect engine knock / detonation. Unless the sound/vibrations of the exhaust some how affect the knock sensor to think you are knocking. But if its the noise your worried about tripping the knock sensor then hopefully some one can answer on how sensitive our knock sensor is.
