Should I upgrade my valves?

I'm goin with a 3065, S2's and Supertech dual spring set. I also plan on porting the intake mani/TB...my quesiton is should I upgrade my valves as well? If so, which brand is best? I probably wont be going over 8500rpms, and this will be on a 2.0

Well I don't really "have" the money, but if its necessary then I'll make it happen. Supertech valves are about 400$....I only got the springs cause I got a smokin deal from a member here. But, having springs on the way for a great price opened up my cam choices!

I would.....light weight valves = a faster reving engine.
If you're going that far you might as well finish the job......port the head & get a 3 angle valve job with them.

I say do it, whats the point of doing the work twice if you decide to upgrade down the road.

I wouldn't upgrade the valves unless you plan on going bigger, then you'll need the headwork to go along with it, so it would be quite a bit more than $400. But to put upgraded valves in that are the same size as stock seems like a not so good option considering there are other things you can spend that money on and get more bang for the buck.

Well I really didn't want to go with bigger valves as that would cost quite a bit extra. Jusr wondering if it was necessary or really beneficial. I think if I end up going with a fully built head I will just them installed then. Besides it looks like a lot of the head work packages come with them already, if I go that far. The springs are only because of the killer deal and the gsc 2s requiring them
