I am considering the JUN 272 myself... haven't heard a whole lot on the GSC's besides this thread though... I've also been told to go with Cosworth since they are cheaper...

Any ideas? I believe I am still going to stick with the JUN's

on the early evos the JUN cams make the most USEABLE power due to the head design. everyone thinks u got a newer car. JUN, then Piper for the older EVO. nothing else...

WHy's that? I ended up getting the evo8 S2 grind to fit my head. My head is ported so i figured it could use the extra lift.

JUN 272 Knockoffs

I know this thread has been inactive for a bit, but I thought this would be a good place for the info. I too have been debating GSCS2 vs Kelford vs Jun for my new build. The heads a ported head by RLZ and I don't think my tried and true HKS 272s are going to be able to take advantage of the new flow. My main concern was midrange torque and after talking to Greg over at GSC he sold me on a set of copy-cat "knockoff" JUN 272s they custom ground for an overseas customer. The specs are the same as the JUN 272s and he's selling them for $350.00 a set. Of course at that price I jumped on them because it would be worth it just to try them out. Figured I could recoup my $$ by selling my HKS 272s and if I didn't like them, pull em and grab a set of S2s. Greg did let me know the GSCs would have better idle characteristics and pull harder up top. How much harder he did not know but the JUN copies would start to drop off about the 8K rpm range. Just posting the info in case anyone is interested in trying a JUN profile cam for less than 1/2 the price.

From the specs of the S2/Kelford TX272/JUN272, I doubt there would be much difference between any of them. I keep hearing that the JUN's will make more up top, but am yet to see evidence of it.

While this topic is here, anyone running these, where does the power peak and start to drop off? Pref 35R setups
