Installed my Injen intake and IC pipe
Shoot, something went wrong tonight. Thank goodness I didn't do that while I was in the freeway! I was almost home and so I want to test to see how it does with the new intake. I rev it up a little on second gear and let if off on a roll. I feel a back pressure and then it feel like the car got choked and would not go normally. Any suggestions?
Most likely the LICP...it tends to blow off, did you use the hose clamps that came with the piping? go pick up some t-bolt clamps. I've heard of everybrand LICP blowing off at some point of another.
Hmm thats weird, dun hear of intakes of uicp blowing that much. I know when i put mine in the bottom of the uicp where it connects to the intercooler was a tough connection..i'm guessing its there...gl man
phabaznbro, did you already have your Evo tuned and dyno? I'm planning on getting a DP, Hallman mbc and probably a flash through Through The Mail flash. A vendor we see once in a while on the advertisement banner. Or do you think it's better to just have someone tune it and flash at the same time?
I haven't had it dyno-ed. I use my butt dyno and the reaction of my passengers to gauge power gains haha..best way to do it (if you have a laptop) is to get the tactrix cable, logging software (evoscan), and some write/flash software (ecu flash)do your own logging and get an email tune. Its simple, I don't know the first thing about tuning my own car but I can do this. Its not just an email flash which is a generic tune for your mods.

Here is the process, I don't know how familiar you are with these things so don't be insulted if I'm giving you the real basics.
the first time through it'll run you alot of money, close to the cost of a dyno tune, but in the long run if you keep modding it'll save you money.
Plus some people prefer a street tune, which is essentially what this process is..simulates more realistic driving conditions. I've never had a dyno tune so i can't say either way
