desial engine sound after build

After installing the buschur 2.3lt stroker kit on my engine, the engine started to sound like a diesel engine when eccelarating. is this normal or can someone can explain to me if there was something wrong with the build.

After running the car in 300km (180miles) I sent the car to be tuned and it was it was ok. the tuner said its normal which i personally thought i'd get a second opinion. i dont think its Knock because its though the whole rev range when the engine is reved (with load or with stationary)

the motor will still knock with load or when stationary. The gas will detonate (inside the motor) with or with out a load. thats what makes the engine
turn over(cumbustion) fuel, fire, exhaust and repeat as fast as you can.(sarcasm)

I think you probably have excesive clearance between pistons and cilinder wall. Hence the noise.

I used the same piston to cylinder wall clearance as BR recommened in thier instractions. by engine builder said it might be that. but i need to check all the other posabilaties before opening up the engine. would it be the head. I have HKS 272s which I dont think will make the valves hit the piston.

Do a boost leak, compression, and leak down test, as well as check for exhaust leaks anywhere. Was *anything* else changed when you installed the engine? New turbo, different injectors, etc etc etc.?

Normally built motors do make noise when they are cold. When the car is hot does it make the same noise?

just a suggestion,if you still have balancer shafts, they maybe 180 degree out of rotation.
