My 6 speed is very smooth... I have a lot more fun rev-match/heel-toe driving in that car than the M3.

Starting off in first keep your left heal on the floor and practice getting the car moving without touching the gas. It's all about the engagement point and how fast you go through it. Obliviously this won't work on a hill and you won't be able to keep your heal on the floor when shifting between gears.

I had a hard time getting used to the clutch of the evo, my rsx has a crazy soft clutch compared to the evo. You'll get used to it. I got the ARC titanium shift knob and that made a big difference for me.

The evo IX is by far one of thee nicest models

But IMO you guys are getting the sucky American "slow ones"

What is the best time for a USA LHD evo 9?

Last track meet we had here in Antigua & Barbuda we have a couple IX's and they are all true JDM RHD thee best time for our evo IX is 12.6, now name any one of them american evo's stock can do that time. please tell me. its about time you guys start ordering the real JDM evo's, or is it not llegal?

Is it the throw, Works Evo has a short throw shifter for the 6 speed, but you have to go to Sonoma to get it. I have it and love it.

Is it the clutch, the engagement point is rather high?

There are instructions but there are risks.

Need to be sure clutch is still fully disengaged with 2-3 inches of pedal travel left according to what I have read. I have not done changes so I don't know.

Just relax. Drive the car all the time.

My Evo is my first car/first manual car and I learned driving the car
in two days. Just know all the basic stuff and you should be ok.

Go for a drive in the mountains. You will be become very familiar with the Evo's transmission.
