Some really nice solutions there. As I prefer all of my cars painted black on the outside, but have always struggled working in dark engine bays and tight spots, I really apreciate the inside white/ outside black paint shceme. Very badd **** and super clean all in one.

Lets not go by last names here CHRIS but you spelled it wrong anyways. My intentions of writing to give ams a tennis ball was a joke. So before you get off topic keep your mouth shut. Some of you fools take inside jokes a little to serious. I was just trying to bring a little bit more adrenaline into this thread.

This guy and What ball. No drama is being caused here I am expressing my thoughts here of what this car is capable of doing. Once again I apologize for any inconvenience my comment might of caused.

All this doesnt even matter I say all come together to take on the world becaus e if im not mistaken their is a guy named Andre Simon in New Zealand that has a 1995 EVO 3 that runs 8.230@179mph. Take the best of what we have here in the US and build a car that shows the world that we are the evo experts and not just consumed with ourselfs and personal goals.

Once again, we are keeping the owners information private in this thread until he decides to come in here and say something. This car is not in competition with anything but we think the build will speak for itself. As far as other cars that have been built here... dan bajalis would be one and mike reichens evo 2 would be another which is infact the fastest evo in the world... So as you can see, its not the first time a fast car is coming out of the shop

Isn't it pretty cocky to say something about a car beating AMS when the car is not even done yet? It's a nice ride thats for sure but is this car going to belt out 1130 whp? run 170's in the 1/4? To be determined of course but AMS is not a company I would call out in a drag race...
I remember back in the day when Adam was running into the 9's over and over with his Evo - can't remember if it was a Evo 2 or 3 when AMS and myself were in the 11's with our Evo 8's

I think Adam actually worked for AMS back in those days, I can remember that far back

Kudos to Adam for a great build nice to see some relaly nice fabrication

My only question is WHY do this to such a nice Evo IX ? Why not do it to a ragged out Evo 8 ?

Al

thanks for the nice words AL, you are pretty dead on with everything you said, adam did work for ams back in the day and his evo 2 was MOVING back then

As far as why the build is using a 9, well that wasnt our choice, this was a customers car that he decided to build up into a drag car, also this car has a salvage title so it was very affordable.

Due to the fact that Mike and John compete in 2 different forms of motorsports It kind of makes looking at the numbers a bit different. Mike has gone faster then John, But also has a greater distance to do it in, Both are amazing cars, amazing people, and fantastic assets to the community

absolutely speechless! that is insane! cant wait to see the flipped manifold!

there's a company in england that makes dry sumps for the evo 8 & 9 4g63's CnC'd solid aluminum pan it is almost as bad *** as this car.
