Does ECU have any control over boost?

Normally on the gauge I'd get a spike of about 1.2 to 1.3 bars...but for the last couple months, it won't go past .9. I installed an intake with Upper and lower ICP, car has been acting funky ever since...too lean one time..too rich another...then a random misfire and my boost won't go past .9 bars.

Would a faulty BOV cause this? Spring getting weak, bypassing too early?
Perhaps a vacuum leak elsewhere?

Any advice?

Check for leaks first. If you have no leaks, then put your stock intake back on and see if the problem goes away. If it's still there, then check your boost control solenoid and all of the hoses connecting it.

its your intake messing with your maf, the ecu does not shoot for a target boost,

rather it shoots for a target engine load which is proportional to boost.

get a tune and your problem should go away
